Cheap Flights to Phuket
A popular beach destination as well as a jumping-off point for smaller islands and beaches in the south of Thailand, Phuket houses an international airport that is also great for inexpensive domestic flights. It is Thailand’s second busiest airport, so you’re sure to find bargains with a little searching. Phuket’s airport code is HKT.
Cheap flights to Phuket run regularly from Bangkok, and if you’re on a shorter holiday, then flying down here is a great way to save time. Buses usually take all night, and trains don’t run to that side of the coast. The best way to find a cheap ticket to Phuket is to use a booking/search engine (see below) that searches many airlines and flights at once.
Airlines that run domestic flights into Phuket include:
- Thai AirAsia: Asia’s budget airline. Note that you’ll need to pay to check luggage, and that carry-ons have an eight kilo limit.
- Thai Airways
- Nok Air
- Bangkok Airways
Dozens of airlines run international flights to Phuket; here are a few of them:
- United
- Air Canada
- Cathay Pacific
